Labirinto di Adriano as well as being a historic-archaeological site, it is also a restaurant that offers its guests the opportunity to taste traditional typical dishes of Orvieto.
The restaurant offers handmade pasta, artisan bread, local meats and desserts that derive from Adriano’s pastry shop that opened in 1962 by the father of Maurizio, who is now the master pastry and restaurant main chef.
Don’t miss Maurizio’s pralines in all its flavors, shapes and sweet surprises
The restaurant has 3 different rooms (Sala dell’Arco di Tufo, Sala della Storia and Sala del Bancone) for a total of 60 seats.
Alessandra and Angelica also organize business lunches, personalized menus for groups and suggestive tastings or aperitifs in the cave, with a visit to the Labyrinth (free for restaurant customers).
Sala dell’Arco di Tufo
It is a historic room where coal was already traded in the early 1900s, and here in the 1950s, there was a wood selling point. Here, Adriano transformed this place into the entrance of the Labyrinth, renovating it, keeping the walls intact and creating the largest room of the Labyrinth. In this room, during the winter, the fireplace is lit, and you can breathe in the history of this place.
Sala della Storia
This room is located between the coal room and the kitchen. Here, you’ll find photos, awards, and historical artifacts that represent us and remind us at our beginning to get to where we are today. There is also the entrance to the outdoor courtyard, which is mainly used during the warm seasons.
Sala del Bancone
Here, the historic counter of Adriano’s pastry shop dominates, with its antique original coffee machine. This is where Adriano’s professional journey began, and it is here that he developed his idea of pastry and cuisine, bringing the Labyrinth back to light in the 1980s, which can be seen through a glass panel set in the floor. In this room, you can breathe in the history of our family. It is a room detached from the others, unique in its atmosphere with wooden walls and mirrors, suitable as a private room for events.
Il Labirinto di Adriano offers a perfect mix of tradition and innovation cuisine.
The restaurant menu proposes typical local dishes like
tagliatelle, umbrichelli and a selection of very good meats.
Wide selection of cakes and sweets made by chef Maurizio will be the perfect dessert.
The restaurant also boasts a good wine list (wine available by the bottle or glass).
David Wildbore18 June 2025 Lovely food friendly staff and after dinner they let you roam the amazing labyrinth under the building. Well worth a visitSally Thorn16 June 2025 Delightful restaurant with authentic food and attentive service. This was our first visit to Orvieto and we weren't disappointed. If you eat here you get to visit the absolutely amazing Labrinth of caves underneath that seems to go on forever, for free.Dam Cmr10 June 2025 Ristorante eccezionale!! Load more
